Hulk Out At The Gym - Bodybuilding Tips That Will Rip Your Shirt

The summer is getting closer, so it is time to start preparing to look your best in your swimming suit. In this article, we are going to tackle one very interesting topic, which is how to be safe at the gym.

More specifically, we are going to talk about dietary supplements, and workout regimes and exercises. So, leave that bag of chips and get of that couch!

Workout supplements- what to choose?
For people who take workout seriously, the fall and the winter is a period of bulking, that is, increasing body mass and putting on some fat, followed by a period of hard physical activity. So, to add a few useful (yes, useful pounds), follow these advices. To get the best possible results, you will need to make certain changes in your dietary habits and your life style.

Body building experts recommend to start by changing your dietary habits. They recommend increasing the proteins uptake from natural sources of protein, such as chicken breasts, eggs, shrimps, fish, etc. It is also recommended to increase the uptake of complex carbs, which can be found in yams, brown/white rice, potatoes, oatmeal, beans, pasta etc. Next, increase your fibrous carbs intake.

Fibrous carbs can be found in broccoli, spinach, celery, cauliflower, asparagus, bell peppers etc. In addition to healthy and fresh food rich in proteins and carbohydrates, to get the best possible results, experts also recommend certain types of workout supplements. Here are several of the best workout supplements that you could use to build mass. Here, it should be noted that dietary supplements do have positive effects, however they may not be used as a supplement to a balanced diet.

We all know that the protein is the building block of muscles in the human body. Whey protein is one of the best ways to gain mass without any side effects. Whey protein can be used before and after workout, you can use it as a snack by adding fruits, you can use it in concentrate or isolate forms. Cellucor COR-Performance Whey, Optimum Gold Standard 100% Whey, and MusclePharm Combat Powder are among the best whey protein containing products on the market.

How to get ripped fast?
If you are wondering how to get ripped fast, then you should know that body building experts recommend adding casein protein in your diet. Casein proteins is especially useful to maintain your anabolic processes throughout the night because they are slowly digested and absorbed by the organism within a period between 6 and 8 hours. To maintain your mass during the night, we recommend you the Muscle Milk by CytoSport, Matrix 5.0 by Syntrax and 100% Casein Protein by Optimum.

Nitric oxide supplements
Nitric oxide is a gas naturally produced by human body. The job of this gas is to provide communication between cells, to regulate the activities of the lungs, brain, liver etc. and to increase blood flow (thus delivering nutrients to muscles to help them grow). Nitric oxide dietary supplements actually contain arginine which is naturally available in crabs, shrimps, spinach etc. One of the best products on the market containing arginine include the Niteworks (Herbalife International) which is specially designed for people who wish to be in perfect physical condition.

Workout movies and movies that feature characters with pumped-up physiques serve as inspirations for avid body builders.
These movies are usually about super heroes, athletes, and crime fighters.
Some are documentaries about body building itself and give viewers a glimpse of the life of body builders and the sacrifices they make as they prepare for contests, and attempt to dispel common misconceptions about body building.

These are some of the best workout movies ever made.
Pumping Iron (1977)
This has probably been the most influential of all movies about working out. It starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno as young weightlifters and contenders for the title of Mr. Olympia. The film showed the impact of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs and highlighted the fierce rivalry among weightlifting contestants.

The Rocky Series (1976-2006)
If there was ever a movie that inspired boxers and athletes everywhere to spend grueling hours in training, this was it. Rocky Balboa's was the quintessential story of rising from adversity through hard work. Sylvester Stallone gained a solid following after Rocky (1976) and five more rocky movies were made, the last being Rocky Balboa (2006).

Stay Hungry (1976)
This was a comedy starring Jeff Bridges, Sally Field, and Arnold Schwarzenegger for which Schwarzenegger won a Golden Globe. Jeff Bridges played the part of a rich young man who gets embroiled in a dubious real estate transaction and ends up owning a gym. Exercise, Bodybuilding and Natural Supplements

We all know that exercise is good for us and as increasing numbers of people flock to the gym, yoga or spin class, many of them are also running to the health food store eager to find a safe and natural way to do everything from increase energy and muscle mass to decrease body fat and recovery time.

While there are several substances that have been proven to improve our health and aid our exercise regimen, many of the products available today are nothing more than empty promises in an attractive bottle. Indeed most natural health supplement companies spend more on marketing and packaging than they do on the ingredients!

When choosing a natural or herbal supplement the most important factors to consider are quality, potency, absorbability and evidence of that supplements efficacy. While many nutrients may be have been proven in a lab to aid different facets of our health and wellness, these nutrients, which are most often in an isolated chemical form, may not be absorbable and usable by the body. To try and make up for this, supplement manufacturers will often increase the sheer amount of nutrients, sometimes a 1000 fold, to levels where these nutrients can actually be dangerous to our health.

The best and most easily absorbable nutrients are found in whole foods and super foods that contain the necessary bio chemicals and elements that allow our bodies to assimilate them at an efficient rate. A healthy, well balanced diet rich in protein, vitamins, minerals and good fats and oils is the foundation of any successful exercise program.

Assuming we're eating right and avoiding processed junk food there are substances, some of which have been used for centuries, that can dramatically improve energy, shorten muscle recovery time, increase muscle mass and promote weight loss.

Shilajit, a black gooey mineral complex once the strength and conditioning secret weapon of Soviet Olympic athletes and now the anti-aging and libido enhancing secret weapon of the Hollywood elite, is an effective herbal supplement with a plethora of uses in exercise and body building.

Shilajit is thought to be made up of plant matter trapped in the rocky cliffs of the Himalaya mountain range millions of years ago. It is prized in India for its potent regenerative powers and for increasing strength. Pure and genuine shilajit, which is rare and difficult to find, produces immense and sustained energy, which, as has been proven in several major studies at Russian universities, can improve workload (weight x repetition) by as much as 29%.

It has also been shown to decrease muscle recovery time by as much as 50%. It gets better! Shilajit also burns fat while at the same time increasing muscle mass, a property every body builder will find irresistible. There are several companies marketing shilajit but be cautious as many of these products are in fact extracts from ordinary dirt and not the rare and precious substance found in remote high altitude regions of the Himalayas.

For maximum benefits, ensure that you purchase pure and authentic shilajit of Himalayan origin. Most of the powders and extracts are reported to be of questionable quality and efficacy while the genuine black gooey tar like substance, although expensive, is extremely effective.

Chlorella, single cell algae, naturally contains a wide range of vitamins, minerals, is made up of 60% protein and contains all essential amino acids. Like authentic shilajit, it is a whole food so this means that those nutrients have a high absorption rate in the body.

It is also the highest source of naturally occurring chlorophyll on the planet. The cleansing action of chlorophyll helps to minimize muscle stiffness and inflammation while nucleic acids of a component called Chlorella Growth Factor help to build and repair muscle fibers. Chlorella is also a source of natural calcium and magnesium which are necessary for muscle and nerve function and help to prevent cramps and muscle fatigue.

Muira Puama, a shrub native to the Amazon rainforest, is mainly known for its aphrodisiac properties but has been shown to increase natural levels of testosterone. Testosterone is needed for exercises such as running and weight lifting, thus activities that require strength and endurance and is also needed to build lean muscle mass. Muira Puama is also reported to treat exhaustion and to promote nervous system function.

As with all herbs and supplements, ensure that you purchase from a reputable company that offers high quality, high potency products and can provide details of source and efficacy.
Always consult a health care professional before taking any supplements no matter if you buy natural herbal supplements or synthetic supplements made in the labs of the pharmaceutical industry.

Achieving Your Bodybuilding Goals Minus the Steroids

There are people who say that you can't achieve your goals of building huge muscles without the use of steroids in the same manner that Lance Armstrong couldn't have won seven Tour de France titles without taking performance-enhancing drugs.

There's always that nagging impression that athletes who join bodybuilding competitions get their superhero-like body not only because of intense training programs, but with the aid of substances that can fast-track muscle growth.

First off, aside from the fact that substances like steroids are banned from physically demanding professional sports, they can also cause various negative side effects and can even kill. This means if you're an athlete and you use steroids, you're not only violating the rules of your sport and get unfair advantage over your opponents (which, of course, is tantamount to cheating); you also become a walking time bomb.

The question is: Can you really build bulky muscles without the aid of banned substances? Of course you can. Hard work and determination always pay huge dividends. If you partner your grueling workouts with steroids, it's like reviewing hard for an exam but you read your lecture notes while taking it. One of the most rewarding things is realizing that at the end of the day, even if you didn't win in a competition or you didn't get a perfect score in your exam, you know that you played it fair and square and didn't cheat.

If you're goal is to build big muscles, know that there are four major factors that determine the potential size of your muscles. These factors are genetics, diet, the training program, and supplements. Of course, the mention of supplements can already bring to mind banned substances. However, this is not the case for many types.

There are bodybuilding supplements that are completely steroid-free, which means you don't face the prospect of being banned from your sport for life or being six feet below the ground even if you take them.

If your family genetics makes you pre-disposed to having a muscular physique with good shape and cut, you've already won half the battle. However, if you don't have it in your DNA, don't worry because there are still three other factors that can help you achieve your bodybuilding goals.

If getting a muscular body doesn't run in the family, you can always turn to proper nutrition, a solid training program, and, of course, supplements. Again, be safe (and fair) by choosing only those that do not contain banned and dangerous substances.

Go for bodybuilding gold minus the steroids. If you are consistent with your training, have self-discipline and are determined to hit your mark, there's no way you won't achieve that body worthy of a spread in a sports magazine.
